I have worked at the Erlanger Branch since 2005. Most of that time has been in the Children’s Department, where I am currently the full-time desk assistant. I order and weed materials for the collection, make book displays, create flyers for programs, organize the schedules, and other miscellany. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and I run the adult writers group at Erlanger. I also volunteer as a one-to-one reading coach and write recommendations for juvenile readalikes on Novelist. I love reading and reading about books.
I read mostly realistic fiction: young adult, middle grade, and some adult. I also love quirky, eye-catching, fun, and poignant picture books. I enjoy graphic novels, where I will read outside of my usual genres and try sci-fi and fantasy (but as long as the illustrations are eye-catching to me, I’ll read anything). When I'm not reading, I listen to podcasts (mostly true crime related), watch movies (especially old movies), and watch too many youtube videos.
